And I want to disagree with your assessment that the game should be cheaper. That does not mean you can't be disappointed, but it's something that you can avoid in the future if you manage your expectations. And that's fine, not all of us want something super complex. Seriously, this is not the game about complexity or depth of game mechanics, it's more about aesthetics and lore - which you aknowledged as good. I'm only half-joking in the paragraph above. What's suffering of a character or two when you've witnessed deaths of thousands - maybe less graphic and tragic, but death nonetheless. after all the years of playing actual roguelike you've seen things much more brutal than that. For these peoples the game is brutal and full of pain, your characters suffer and die, and it's all rather depressing and dark - as it should be, by design! But you. It's a great game for people who did not play classic roguelikes all that much (if at all). I feel like you are not quite target audience for this game.
